Confirmed errors are corrected in the corrections log with the old and the new value. Objections and removal requests are decided as described below; how we handle personal data — privacy notice.

What you can ask for

Six things, all through the same form:

  • Correct a factual error: a number, a date, a quotation or who a pick is attributed to.
  • Publish your response next to the numbers it answers.
  • Object to our processing of data about you (Article 21 GDPR).
  • Ask for data about you to be erased (Article 17 GDPR).
  • Get a copy of the data we hold about you (Article 15 GDPR).
  • Remove a specific quotation, if you hold the rights to it.

Links to your channel are never restricted, and the order of any table does not depend on any commercial relationship.

How we decide an objection or a removal request

We do not remove a record only because the person it measures asks us to. A record from which unhappy subjects can disappear stops measuring anything and misleads the readers who rely on it. Instead, every objection and every erasure request is decided by a person, on its grounds, and the decision is explained to you.

What we weigh:

  • whether the data is accurate and attributed to the right person;
  • whether you publish forecasts publicly, as a tipster or in a public role, or were only mentioned in someone else's material;
  • how old and how complete the record is;
  • whether the page affects you beyond what your own published forecasts already show;
  • whether a lighter measure solves the problem.

Possible outcomes:

  • the profile and its pages are removed from the site, its downloads and its cards;
  • the name is withdrawn and the record stays under a tracker number;
  • the data is corrected, or your statement is published next to it;
  • the request is refused, with the specific ground — for example the freedom of expression and information (Article 17(3)(a) GDPR) — and your right to complain to a supervisory authority.

Once we have confirmed that an objection or an erasure request comes from the person concerned, that profile is kept out of search engines until the decision.

Confirming it is you

A response, an objection, an erasure request or a request for your data is acted on only once we know it comes from the person concerned. One of two ways, and we do not ask for documents: a post or a message from a channel already listed in the profile, or an email from an address published there. Factual errors and quotation claims can be sent by anyone.

Deadlines

Deadlines are counted from the moment your message reaches us:

  • a reference number immediately, and a reply from a person within 2 working days;
  • a factual error or a quotation claim is checked within 2 working days;
  • a response is published within 2 working days of confirming it is you;
  • an objection, an erasure request or a request for a copy of your data is decided within one month; a complex request is extended once, by up to two months, with the reason given within the first month.

If you disagree with a decision

Reply with your reference number and say what we got wrong: we look at the request again, on the same deadlines, and the review is recorded in the request log. For anything about personal data you can also complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon, aki.ee) or to the supervisory authority of the country where you live or work.

Seven days to reply

You can answer your record at any time, including after any major change to it; your answer is published word for word next to the record it answers.

A profile we build from what you publish has its own address from the first statement we record and stays out of search engines until its record reaches the threshold for such profiles (at least 10 settled picks on at least 2 dates; a record you register yourself follows the probation rule on the Join page), so you can check the whole record and answer it before anyone finds it through search.

A major change is a correction that changes a settled outcome, the headline number of your profile or the series a pick is counted in. It is made at once and listed in the corrections log with the old and the new value and its date. A reply sent within seven days of that date is published as a reply to the change: next to the changed number, with the date of the correction it answers. A reply sent later is published on the same deadlines, next to the numbers as they then stand.

We do not write to the people we measure: our privacy notice explains why. Every major change is announced in the corrections log, and this form is open at any time.

How we are actually doing

The counters in the first paragraph are generated from the request log, including the requests we decided late. Each logged request shows its reference number, its type, its dates and its outcome — never the name of the person, the page or the text of the message. A message is stored before the form shows its reference number.
